I finally went back to digital painting after 3 years, and after a year @ ADM experiencing with many different styles and mediums, they helped me out a lot in this self-portrait painting that I did just a few days ago. Even though this was referenced from a photo taken during my 2D Final Assignment presentation, it’s still a good start! Click on “more” to see the end product!

Well, Foundation year has come to a close. 1 whole year filled with difficulties and obstacles but at the same time, it was a year filled with fun and activities as well. Some of us felt that Foundation year was redundant, others felt it was too long while others felt it was all worth it…

Reason for the title: something that I’m doing for my 2D Design & Colour Workshop II assignment now; morphing a Goliath from Starcraft into the skull of the Undead from Warcraft III to show the morbid effect game addiction have on people who just can’t control themselves from playing too much. That’s the gist of my current assignment. I’m now taking some time off to blog a little on what’s going on lately.

Well, firstly, Happy Chinese New Year everyone! Enjoying all the food and snacks so far after the many reunion dinners you have had over the past few days? I certainly did enjoy my past 3 reunion dinners! Haha! The one I had with my friends were the best of course! A very lovely and rowdy bunch!

Secondly, to all those in a relationship, Happy Valentine’s Day!

The new year is upon us, what will 2010 bring us? Hopefully for the better. As the world starts crumbling from global warming, broken & melted polar ice caps measuring in the 100,000′s floating through NZ and Australia, China and other developing countries releasing tons and tons of carbon dioxide into the air because of their manufacturing and power plants, and Japanese citizens starting to once again shut themselves out from the general populace and marrying video game characters… Does the future seem that bleak, or will we really end by 2012 from skyscraper-like tidal waves and lack of reproduction? At this time, the phrase “Only Time Will Tell.” came up clearly in my mind…
